MCM were selected to deliver a refurbishment of property consultants EA Shaw’s offices in a Grade II listed building in the heart of Covent Garden. Two of floors had become un-occupiable after a fire.

The design looked to maximise features of the listed building structure, such as the exposed brickworks and oak beams. The first floor comprises the reception area, self-service bar, lounge area and three meeting rooms, which have been furnished and finished to create a relaxing loft- style environment. The lounge area opens to a small terrace which can be used by staff as breakout space and for impromptu client meetings.
The ground floor area has also been modified to maximise the space, allow in more daylight and provide a professional welcome to clients. The project had to be delivered to a tight programme and was completed less than 7 months after the fire.

Since completion of the refurbishment and fit-out, compliments on the restored and refreshed spaces have been numerous by clients and staff alike.
