We are delighted to announce that Double Negative’s New Headquarter’s Building in Great Portland Street has been awarded the 2013 BCO Corporate Workplace Award for the London Region.
Double Negative are Europe’s largest providers of visual effects and post production services for the film industry, whose award winning work includes the Harry Potter films, Inception and the new James Bond films. MCM were appointed to design their 80,000 square feet new office and production space.
The design makes extensive use of cutting edge technology systems. The IT requirements of the project are extremely high as Double Negative’s computations are among the most complex that current computer technology can achieve.
The new office space is predominantly arranged as ‘artist’s studios’, supported by a mixture of open-plan and cellular office environments. The space also includes a café, refreshment hubs, meeting rooms, screening rooms as well as research and development areas, editing suites and cinemas.
MCM are really pleased to be working with CMS Cameron McKenna on the design of their new workplace which will be in Cannon Place. Having worked with the CMS Cameron McKenna Team over the past couple of years, exploring building options, we are really excited at the prospect of Cannon Place. A great choice of building with enormous potential to create a new legal workplace benchmark.
It is almost MIPIM time again.

We were very pleased to learn, on our return from the Christmas Break, that we have been invited by John Swire and Sons to design the refurbishment of their London Headquarters. The scope will include works to the building Reception, Executive Areas and an upgrade to the facade of the eighties building in Victoria, originally designed by TP Bennett.
MCM held their second charity clay pigeon shooting day last month.
Another great day at which the team raised over £5,000 in aid of our chosen charity – RADICLE – a registered charity providing practical and emotional support services for isolated and vulnerable people.
