MCM were commissioned for a 12 week project, to develop an agile workplace strategy to support the consolidation of 2 central London buildings on to one central London location. The London HQ for Towers Watson will provide a centre for their UK organisation, bringing together 900 consultants into one building to work in a collaborative, flexible and agile way. Towers Watson is a global professional services company that offers consulting, technology and solutions in the area of benefits, talent management, rewards and risk and capital management.
Key characteristics of the project: - Undertake a comprehensive user consultation programme consisting of interviews and workshops to understand the requirements of different departments in the business - Analysis of a wide range of building performance metrics to develop requirements for client meetings, internal meetings and catering - Floor plate analysis to identify building constraints and opportunities Close working with internal support teams to develop appropriate systems and processes to support agile working - Develop and test a number of agile working scenarios to enable the Project Steering Group evaluate different workplace options for the business - Develop and deliver a programme of Feedback workshops to allow a wide range of users to debate and understand the implications of moving to flexible working - Test fit the buildings to bring the selected agile working scenario to life - High level building stack to demonstrate organisational fit Consolidate conclusions in to a visual report supported by robust metrics to enable a Design and Build contractor to deliver the building refurbishment. - Final report will also be used to inform the development of a Design Framework that will shape a global agile workplace model. Following completion of workplace strategy, MCM is now proceeding with interior design and the delivery of a refurbishment programme to align with strategic objectives.
